Western Australian independent foodservice distributor, New West Foods, has acquired Perth-based producer and distributor of European-style foods and beverages, European Foods.

Starting out as a processor and distributor of local fish and seafood in 1988, New West Foods has expanded into a foodservice supplier distributing a range of fresh seafood, fresh cheese, dry goods, frozen and chilled goods, along with a full suite of packaging goods and cleaning solutions.

The company’s acquisition of European Foods expands its range to include globally recognised products such as Callebaut chocolate, and specialty cheeses from the Netherlands, France, the UK, Italy and Switzerland.

European Foods has both a trade and public facing business, with a Marketplace in Osborne Park catering to both professional and home chefs.

New West Foods managing director, Damon Venoutsos, said the company was proud to continue the legacy of well-known brands created by European Foods.

“This marks an exciting step forward for our family-owned business, bringing together decades of experience, expanding our offering, and strengthening how we support hospitality across Western Australia,” said Venoutsos.

The European Foods coffee operations will continue under the existing family ownership.
