Coca-Cola Amatil has appointed Greg Barnes as its Group chief financial officer, starting 1 June. Barnes joins Amatil from Nine Entertainment, where he was part of the team that led Nine’s acquisition of Fairfax, creating a $3 billion entity.

Amatil’s group MD Alison Watkins highlighted Barne’s extensive experience and expertise across a diverse range of businesses and industries. Prior to Nine, Barnes was CFO at CSR Limited.

He had “deep expertise and leadership across all financial functions” and “understanding of complex logistics, manufacturing and services businesses in a variety of industry sectors”, she said.

“Greg joins Amatil at a time when we are drawing on our strong financial foundations and our resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic period, with a view to emerging even stronger and better than before,” Watkins said.
