Health and wellness food company OMG Group has reported FY26 net sales of around $6.1 million, up 49 per cent on the $4.1 million recorded in FY25. The company says it is expanding its Woolworths ranging, moving its matcha operation into commercial fulfilment, and establishing its first international distribution channels.

Net sales for the June quarter were approximately $1.54 million, up 18 per cent on the prior corresponding period ($1.31 million) (pcp), with growth across grocery, petrol and convenience, food service and ecommerce channels.

The company said the Q4 growth rate moderated against Q3 as the comparative base strengthened and availability of Blue Dinosaur ecommerce stock was temporarily reduced during the transition from legacy-branded inventory to its refreshed range.

Customer receipts for the quarter were around $2.2 million, a 33 per cent increase pcp and 24 per cent up on Q3, taking FY26 receipts to approximately $7.1 million, a 51 per cent lift on FY25.

OMG Group CEO, Alex Aleksic, said the year delivered growth on a broader commercial platform.

“During the period, we delivered a net sales increase of around 49 per cent year on year, and with a broader commercial platform: five PrOATein products nationally ranged in Woolworths, a matcha platform moving into commercial fulfilment and our first international distribution channels established in New Zealand and Vietnam,” Aleksic said.

Woolworths rollout takes PrOATein range to five

Three new Oat Milk Goodness PrOATein ready-to-drink flavours, Matcha & Strawberry, Banana & Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel, are rolling out across all 943 Woolworths stores over the coming months, taking the nationally stocked PrOATein range to five products.

The Matcha & Strawberry SKU is the first product to use ceremonial-grade matcha sourced under the company’s SANDAI Group supply agreement, integrating the matcha platform into its flagship retail brand.

The new flavours are not exclusive to Woolworths and are also being distributed through grocery, petrol and convenience channels.

Matcha moves from launch to fulfilment

The company’s first shipment of ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha under its exclusive five-year SANDAI Group supply agreement arrived in Australia during the quarter.

The landed inventory will support commercial fulfilment across distribution, food service and ingredient-supply channels from August.

OMG also signed a collaboration agreement with Sydney coffee roaster, The Little Marionette, for the supply of premium ceremonial-grade matcha as a raw ingredient, which it said provided the first commercial validation of its ingredient-supply channel, complementing the earlier appointment of Food & Dairy Co as its first official matcha distributor.

Initial airfreight supply had already been used by customers including The Little Marionette and House of Matcha ahead of the larger shipment’s arrival.

The shipment was backed by a strategic inventory investment of around $242,000 in the quarter, which the company described as a deliberate working capital build rather than an operating cost, with the stock expected to convert to revenue through FY27.

First offshore channels in New Zealand and Vietnam

Snack bar brand Blue Dinosaur secured its first international retail channel, a national ranging agreement with Chemist Warehouse New Zealand via wholesaler ANZ Pharma, covering the retailer’s 88 stores across the country.

The company also signed its first Southeast Asian distribution agreement, with Asean International to import and distribute Oat Milk Goodness and Blue Dinosaur products into Vietnam. Asean International will manage importation, regulatory compliance and in-market distribution through its registered Vietnamese import entity, DP Medic Co.

Cash position and outlook

Ecommerce net sales were around $650,000 for the quarter, up 31 per cent on Q3, although June sales were below pcp as the company sold through legacy-branded Blue Dinosaur inventory ahead of the packaging transition. Refreshed stock is expected to arrive from early August, restoring full range availability.

Reported net operating cash outflow for the quarter was around $405,000, including non-recurring items of a $122,000 brand build and refresh investment and $50,000 in legal costs associated with potential M&A.

“In FY27, the focus will be on maintaining product availability, supporting sell-through across the expanded Woolworths range, commencing fulfilment from the landed matcha inventory and progressing distribution in New Zealand and Vietnam. These priorities will be pursued alongside continued discipline in working capital and operating expenditure,” Aleksic said.
