Meal kit provider Marley Spoon is entering a new phase of growth, evolving from traditional dinner only meal kits into a comprehensive food solutions platform as Australians embrace flexible eating options to suit their lifestyles.

The company has recently expanded into breakfast options, single serve ready meals, easy lunches, add-on snacks and drinks, alongside specialised ranges catering to different dietary needs, including GLP-1 Support, high-protein and calorie-conscious options.

“The expansion marks a shift from meal kits as a single product to meal solutions as a platform, one built to solve a wider range of everyday food challenges families face, not just what's for dinner,” said Rolf Weber, CEO of Marley Spoon Australia.

“We realise our customers not only have changing meal needs during each day and week but also over particular phases in their life and we want to offer them food solutions that make it easier for them.”

Since launching its GLP-1 support recipes in May this year, demand for the product has almost tripled and seen 110 per cent month on month growth. Also trending on the platform is the High Protein segment showing 20 per cent growth in the last quarter.

“As household nutrition needs become more diverse, we're focused on broadening our recipe range and portion flexibility, so our offering keeps working for a wider range of customers, rather than trying to be everything to everyone in a single night,” explained Weber.

“There’s been a real shift in how Australians think about food and it’s no longer one size fits all. We want to build a new era of food solutions where every kind of dietary need and every meal of the day can be catered for.”

The subscription service simplifies home cooking by eliminating grocery shopping and meal planning, creating food options for the entire family, while reducing the dreaded mental load and decision fatigue.

“Our ambition is to solve more of the weekly food challenge for families. By expanding beyond dinner-only meal kits, we're giving customers greater choice, reducing decision fatigue and helping them enjoy better meals throughout the week,” Weber concluded.

With meals starting from just $9.29 per serve, Marley Spoon offers options across a range of budgets. For even greater value, the newly introduced Savour & Save range offers selected recipes for $4 less per portion, helping households find meals that suit their tastes, dietary needs and budget.

Currently customers have access to 200 different recipes with plans to scale to 1000 within the next two years.
