Made in Queensland (MIQ) Round 6 applications are now open for manufacturers in the state, with funding grants of $50,000 to $2.5 million available.

Queensland-based manufacturers looking to adopt industry leading equipment, technologies, systems and processes that include energy efficiency, export, reshoring, supply chain improvements, sustainability and/or advancement of decarbonisation and net zero outcomes are encouraged to apply.

Matched funding grants of $50,000 to $2.5 million are available, with funding also set aside for applications which do not involve the purchase of equipment and are seeking less than $250,000 each in funding.

Since 2017, MIQ has supported 136 advanced manufacturing projects across the state, and is expected to create more than 9,500 jobs over five years, generating more than $190 million in private sector investment.

Of the 136 projects funded through MIQ, 42 per cent are being delivered in regional Queensland.

The MIQ program is part of the Queensland Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan, which received an update in 2021 to provide guidelines on how companies could adapt to the state’s clean energy and decarbonisation agenda.

Applications are now open and will close at 9am AEST 11 December 2023.
