Lion's beer brand Iron Jack, in league with brand ambassador Nick Cummins, is throwing its weight behind Aussie working dogs.

Iron Jack beer has partnered with the Australian Working Dog Rescue International (AWDRI) to save more than 1,600 dogs. Iron Jack will also volunteer marketing team hours.

Iron Jack was launched in September last year, and Lion has described the launch as Australia’s biggest in the beer category of the last decade after seeing record-breaking volumes.

Iron Jack's brand values include Aussie loyalty, strength and mateship, the company says, and man’s best friend is an integral part of that and is featured on its packaging. A just-launched TV commercial also features a four-legged friend.

“Working dogs are the hardest workers - they’re as tough as woodpecker lips, so I’m stoked that Iron Jack is helping AWDRI continue their awesome work and rescue more of these little fellas,” Cummins said.

The partnership will enable AWDRI to continue their efforts rescuing working dogs across Australia, providing vet work, training, rehoming and increasing fundraising and awareness opportunities.
