Kellogg ANZ has appointed FMCG veteran Peter Crane as research and technology director. Crane was most recently executive director of Future Foods Company working with start-ups and entrepreneurs in new food innovation.

Previously, Crane worked at Mars for more than 20 years, including R&D director for Mars Food Australia.

He was an advisor to CSIRO’s Future Protein Mission Committee and a member of the Australian Food and Grocery Council’s Health and Nutrition, and Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Committees.

Crane said, “As Kellogg heads towards 100 years in Australia, I’m excited to drive our growth portfolio through food development that continues to nourish consumers with our great tasting foods, while reducing environmental impact on our planet through the Kellogg Better Days promise.”

Kellogg ANZ managing director Anthony Holme said he was impressed by Crane’s “geniune passion for food innovation and ‘outside-in’ thinking to drive continuous improvement”.

“Peter is an experienced and well-regarded leader who champions diverse thinking, collaboration, and team performance.”
