Keg rental company Kegstar has appointed Stephen Hopkins as its new general manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Hopkins has more than 20 years-experience in the food and beverage industry. Most recently he was head of Beer and Cider at Coca-Cola Amatil.

He said it was Kegstar’s entrepreneurial culture that attracted him to the role. “It’s relentless drive to get more great beverages to more happy drinkers is pretty much what I’ve been doing my whole career, and something I’m delighted to lead.”

Kegstar CEO Christian Barden said Hopkins brought a wealth of “knowledge, skills and fun” to the business. “He has exactly the kind of customer, people and leadership experience our culture is founded on to help build a bigger, better Kegstar around the world,” he said.

The company has also recently appointed Joel Beauchamp as business development manager Australia.

In November 2020, Kegstar launched Project Starlight, an IoT tracking system for kegs.
