Australia’s largest Atlantic salmon producer Tassal has added hot smoked salmon flakes to its range of fresh, smoked, frozen and canned products.

The hot smoked salmon flakes have subtle woody notes, and retain all the original goodness that makes salmon one of nature’s superfoods. Salmon is full of Omega-3, protein, vitamins A, D, E, B-carotene, minerals, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, selenium, calcium, phosphorus and potassium.

The flakes are pre-prepared and ready to be tossed into a salad or stirred through pasta or risotto. Hot smoked salmon offers a different taste to cold smoked salmon. While cold smoking does not cook the fish and results in a more delicate texture, hot smoked salmon has a more robust, cooked quality.

Tassal is responsible for 70 per cent of Australia’s entire Atlantic salmon production and has recently entered into a partnership with WWF Australia. The partnership will help Tassal achieve the highest global standard for responsibly produced seafood.

Tassal Hot Smoked Salmon Flakes will be available in Coles from October 2012 at $5.99 RRP. Halal accredited.
