The Hort Business Summit is back for 2025, taking place in Melbourne on 21 November and bringing together industry leaders and growers from across Australia to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the horticulture sector.

This will be its second year, following on from the inaugural event in 2024. The summit is run by AUSVEG, the peak industry body for the Australian vegetable industry.

“Last year’s inaugural event brought the industry together for a day of insights, inspiring ideas, and valuable network connections. This year, we’re taking it up a notch,” stated AUSVEG.

“In today’s challenging business environment, staying informed is crucial. This year’s Summit will unpack the key issues facing horticulture – from farm economics to the power of advocacy, from ag-tech innovation to consumer insights – and help you turn challenges into opportunities.”

Key sessions for the 2025 edition will include;

  • the economics of farming
  • power of effective advocacy
  • business strategy
  • unpacking the role of the supermarket code mediators
  • industry sustainability through ag-tech
  • beyond the farm gate – consumer and retail insights.

The full program is available here.

Across every session, industry leaders and growers will share how innovation is solving real challenges on-farm and beyond the farm gate. It is an opportunity to connect with the sector, and discover the trends redefining what’s possible for Australian horticulture.
