Global food industry equipment manufacturer, Heat and Control, has acquired UK-based Fabcon Food Systems, expanding its offerings of processing and handling equipment systems for the food industry.
Established in 2013, Fabcon Systems is renowned for its bespoke, cost-effective processing solutions for the snack food, French fry and protein industries – including processing, product handling, sorting, precision flavouring, weighing and packing systems.
Fabcon Food Systems managing director, Trevor Howard, said the company recognised the importance of consistently exceeding the expectations of its customers, partners, suppliers and employees, and is excited by the opportunities that our association with Heat and Control will provide.
“This new venture will facilitate expansion into new regions as well as ensuring the continued delivery of innovative and reliable solutions,” said Howard.
The company brings a highly skilled, customer-focused technical team and a world-class manufacturing facility in Norwich, England – expanding Heat and Control’s global presence.
Heat and Control president, Tony Caridis, said the acquisition represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy, fostering innovation and creating new opportunities for both companies.
“Fabcon Food Systems manufactures a broad range of innovative, reliable and cost-effective food processing solutions for the snack food, french fry and protein industries that complement our existing range of products, including a full range of vibratory conveyors, allowing us to deliver even more innovative solutions to our global customers,” said Caridis.
“The addition of these high-quality solutions will allow our global sales network to confidently serve existing customers while also creating opportunities to expand into new markets.”
Heat and Control is currently hosting its 2025 FoodTech Forum in the Netherlands, a three-week in-house event at its Lelystad office from 2-20 June. Bringing together food industry professionals from around the globe to experience the latest in processing technology, sustainability strategies, and operational innovations, the event will focus on 'creating a more resilient and sustainable food system', supporting food manufacturers in navigating the fast-changing landscape of global food production.
