Reducing packaging waste while maintaining performance remains a key priority for food manufacturers. At foodpro 2026, Lindy Hughson spoke with Glenn Harris, GM Food Processor & Industry Division at Bunzl ANZ, about the products the company is showcasing to help processors improve efficiency, sustainability and overall cost-in-use.

Among the stand highlights are a 9-micron high-performance pallet wrap that uses less film while maintaining load stability, and a modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray made from around 80 per cent recycled PET. Harris explains how Bunzl has paired the tray with a PET lidding film to create a fully kerbside recyclable pack for protein applications with extended shelf life. The wider product range also reflects the company's focus on customer experience, with solutions designed to improve safety, reduce waste and deliver operational efficiencies.
