Changing ingredients, regulations and product variants can quickly make pre-printed label stocks obsolete, creating unnecessary waste and cost. At foodpro 2026, Lindy Hughson spoke with Paul Cunningham from Epson about the company's latest ColourWorks label printers, designed to give food manufacturers greater flexibility through on-demand colour label production.
Making their foodpro debut are the Epson ColorWorks CW-C4010 and CW-C6510 colour label printers, which enable businesses to design, update and print labels as they need them. Cunningham explains how the technology helps reduce label waste, lower inventory costs and simplify compliance when product information changes, while delivering high-quality colour output suitable for applications ranging from coffee and bakery products to meat and frozen foods.
