Food safety remains a critical priority for food manufacturers, particularly in high-risk processing environments where contamination can have significant consequences. At foodpro 2026, Lindy Hughson caught up with Claudio Baldini from CEIA on the Heat and Control stand to discuss the Australian debut of the company's latest industrial metal detection technology.
Making its first appearance at foodpro, CEIA's new-generation metal detector has been developed for demanding washdown environments, combining IP69K-rated hygienic construction with enhanced detection performance for challenging products such as fresh meat and poultry.
Baldini explains how the system's upgraded Multi-Spectrum technology delivers greater stability when processing products with natural variations in moisture and conductivity, while a new AUTO-QC function automates routine quality control testing required by many retailers. Watch the video below to hear how the new detector is designed to improve both food safety and operational efficiency, and why CEIA believes it is particularly well suited to Australia's meat processing sector.
