Registrations for the re-energised Drinks Industry Show in June have opened, and a special launch event has also been announced.

The launch, a cocktail-networking event, will take place on the night of 5 March at the Botanic Gardens with event curator Ben Davidson to create two exclusive cocktails on the night.

The Drinks Industry Show is a free two-day event for the local drinks trade, and this year's show will resemble a pop up “liquor city” experience at Sydney's Dockside, overlooking Darling Harbour.

The reformatted show will include a food pairing station and boutique tastings lounge.

“We’ll have lots of exciting activation points, as well as two official networking opportunities,” event director David Paterson from organiser Exhibitions & Trade Fairs said.

“The food pairings will bring interesting, innovative food and beverage combinations together, while the boutique tasting lounge will offer the opportunity to sit down, relax, and compare the very latest brands through a series of intimate category tastings.

“These tastings will engage attendees through all their senses, so they can experience a handpicked selection of fresh and exciting beer, cider, wine and spirit products from different global regions,” Paterson said.
