Storage equipment manufacturer Dematic will build two high-bay cold storage warehouses for NewCold Advanced Logistics.

The new sites will be located in Truganina, Melbourne, and the storage facilities will include ColbyRack high-bay racking which can house 100,000 and 106,000 pallets respectively.

Various pallet weights and configurations will be deployed within each facility up to a maximum pallet weight of 1265kg.

The ColbyRack components, comprising more than 8500 tonnes of roll-formed Bluescope G450 grade steel, will be locally manufactured at Dematic’s factory in Belrose, Sydney.

The new warehouses will be both ambient and temperature-controlled in a highly automated environment.

They are due for completion by mid-2017.
