An awards night celebrating the achievements of the craft beer industry will be held next month at Adelaide Oval.

The Craft Beer Awards, to be held on Thursday 27 July, covers eight categories, with trophies awarded to the best beer in each segment.

The trophy winners are then judged against each other, with the overall winner taking the title of Champion Australian Craft Beer.

Organised by the Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA), it is believed to be the only national competition dedicated to Australia’s craft beer industry.

Entries to the awards are open to any craft brewer in Australia which produces less than 40 million litres per annum.

Since its beginnning in 2014, the Craft Beer Awards has grown from receiving 286 beer entries to a cut-off point of 700 in 2017.

Entries close midnight Friday 9 June.
