Nestle's Nespresso is launching a smartphone-connected coffee machine, the Prodigio&Milk, that uses Bluetooth to help consumers better manage their morning brew.

The machines link with a Nespresso smartphone app, and this lets you schedule your coffee brewing time, manage capsule stock and receive notifications on machine maintenance.

“Innovation and convenience are core elements of the Nespresso business so we’re delighted to be able to announce the launch of our first connected machine,” Nespresso commercial manager John Ciaglia said.

“We like to continually surprise and delight our Club Members and the Prodigio&Milk offers them a unique, integrated way to enjoy their favourite Nespresso moments.”

The Nespresso Prodigio&Milk machine will be available from Friday and will be priced at $399RRP.
