A Victoria-based brewery has partnered with an organic chocolate company to produce a limited-release beer in celebration of Easter.

White Rabbit Brewery has teamed with Pana Chocolate to create a 'chocolate stout' leading up to the Easter weekend.

Head brewer Jeremy Halse said that, following primary fermentation, the beer spent a short period of time in oak barrels immersed with brandy-soaked staves.

“A concoction of this beer, caramelised with Pana Chocolate, was then thoughtfully blended back, resulting in a smooth, velvety stout with distinct chocolate undertones,” Halse said.

White Rabbit Chocolate Stout will be sold on tap at the White Rabbit Brewery and Barrel Hall in Geelong, Victoria, with 750ml bottles available online via MoCu.

White Rabbit will be hosting an event called 'Easter Down the Rabbit Hole' on 13 Apri from 6pm.

Halse, as well as Pana Chocolate’s Pana Barbounis, will guide visitors through the interconnected worlds of beer and chocolate, including pairings of Red Ale with Sour Cherry and Vanilla chocolate; Dark Ale with Fig and Wild Orange chocolate; and Pale Ale with Coconut and Goji chocolate.
