In another clever cross-category collaboration with its subsidiary Cadbury, Kraft has unveiled Chocolate Philadelphia, a new breed of sweet treat that is designed to top a cracker, a slice of bread or accompany fruit.

A 25g serve harbours around 78 calories, so the product is being targeted at the ‘health-conscious treat seeker’ and being positioned as “so good you’ll think it’s bad”.

It comes in two formats: a 140g single tub and a 150g pack of four mini-tubs, both with an RRP of $3.19. Chocolate Philadelphia is available in Woolworths, Coles and independent retailers nationally.

Federal ministers yesterday convened an urgent industry roundtable on plastics supply chain pressures, placing packaging reform and domestic recycling capability firmly at the centre of discussions around Australia’s food security and manufacturing resilience.

The Australian Beverages Council has renewed calls for urgent national packaging reform, saying global supply disruptions highlight the need for stronger domestic recycling and harmonised EPR.
