CEO of Bega Cheese Paul van Heerwaarden has announced his resignation, with the dairy giant's chief operating officer Pete Findlay stepping into the role.

Van Heerwaarden was at the helm of Bega during major change, as CEO for the last six years and with the company for 13.

He played a key role in the acquisition of the Mondelez Grocery Business in Australia in 2017, the re-shaping of Bega’s dairy nutritionals business through the execution of the various Reckitt’s transactions, the acquisition of Koroit, the acquisition of Lion Dairy and Drinks and his leadership of the diversity and inclusion programs of the combined group.

Pete Findlay joined Bega in 2019 as CFO and was appointed COO earlier this year. He has more than 25 years experience in professional services in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, information technology and distribution.
