Goodman Fielder chief executive officer, Chris Delaney, has finalised his senior management team with the announcements of four new appointments.

The announcement completes Delaney's reorganisation of the food giant's leadership team, first flagged when he took the chief executive role in July last year.

Peter Foyston has been named managing director of Asia Pacific, accountable for all aspects of strategic direction for the group, which includes China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Fiji, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea.

Foyston brings a strong background of experience working in the region, having spent the last 17 years in Asia, with his most recent position as head of Campbell’s Soup Company in China. Before this, he spent four years with Chiquita International where he led the Asia Pacific region.

Pankaj Talwar is the company's new category managing director, baking, having served as chief marketing officer/senior vice-president at Ebro Foods North America.

Talwar brings his extensive experience in the consumer food industry in the US, particularly in baking. Prior to Ebro he was vice-president, mainstream bread, at Bimbo Bakeries USA. Bimbo Bakeries is the largest fresh baking company in North America.

André Teixeira is group research and development and quality officer. He has a background of international experience across innovation, research and development and broad business development, having worked in various global roles for Coca-Cola, Interbrew (now InBev) in Belgium, Campbell Soup Company and other innovation and technology development enterprises.

Rounding out the new appointments, Aaron Canning is now category managing director, grocery. Previously he was managing director of Goodman Fielder's Asia Pacific business and prior to that finance director of the Asia Pacific business. He joined Goodman Fielder from Westfield Group and also spent nine years with the Diageo plc in a variety of roles.
