CCA secures Monster Energy Drinks deal

Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has secured a contract to distribute Monster Energy Drinks in Australia and New Zealand for up to 20 years.

The multi-million dollar distribution deal follows the announcement of Monster Beverage Corporation’s long-term strategic partnership with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) in June 2015.

CCA's Australian beverages MD Barry O’Connell said the partnership would add a host of premium energy brands and innovation to its non-alcohol beverages portfolio.

“The energy market is estimated to be worth more than $1.2 billion in Retail Sales Value in Australia and the new partnership will help us grow our share of that market,” O’Connell said.

Monster Beverage Company will increase its marketing investment across Australia in coming years to further engage consumers.
