A former Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) fleet manager has been given a six-year prison term for recieving corrupt commissions in exchange for vehicle leasing contracts.

The former manager, Bryan Pereira, was in control of the soft drink manufacturer's $22 million vehicle supply contract, and he received hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions and other unlawful payments between 2003 and 2015.

He and senior Orix manager John Carter were arrested in March 2015, after CCA identified a gap in its auditing and oversight procedures, which led it to contact police.

The company says it has now introduced tough new internal systems.
