To celebrate Mothers Day, Cadbury Roses has collaborated with renowned local artist, Karen Lee, to produce an indigenous inspired limited-edition gift box.

Cadbury has also pledged $50,000 to The Stars Foundation, in support of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander women and girls, and says the indigenous inspired creation celebrates the women in life who show love in some small ways, every day.

The “thoughtfully designed” Cadbury Roses limited-edition box features graphics and symbols rooted in meaning and connection, emblazoned with Mandaang guwu, the words 'thank you' in Wiradjuri.

Speaking of the collaboration, Karen Lee says, “It is important to tell a contemporary narrative that reflects my experience as an Aboriginal woman in an urban society. This artwork is a representation of the little things women do everyday that together encompass the beautiful love that is motherhood. Sometimes it’s the little things that have the biggest impact. Small gestures like a smile, kind words, a helping hand or a symbol of love can make us feel we are important to others.”

Cadbury is pledging $50,000 to The Stars Foundation, an initiative providing tailored mentoring and support to Australia’s most at risk youths – Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Australian women and girls.

This is Cadbury’s second year of donating to The Stars Foundation to help provide full time school mentors to young Aboriginal girls to fulfill their potential and pursue their dreams.

According to the organisation, 98 per cent of girls within The Stars Foundation Program have graduated secondary school and 85 per cent of graduates went on to apply for further study or entered the workforce.

Kathy De Lullo, senior marketing manager for Cadbury says, “Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate all types of maternal figures that impact our lives in some way. We feel privileged to partner with Australian Aboriginal artist Karen Lee and see her reinterpretation of the Cadbury Roses gift box come to life. We hope it inspires and encourages Australians to connect and ‘say thank you for the little things’ with a simple gesture.”

The Cadbury Roses Limited Edition box is filled with Classic Milk, Hazelnut Creme Crisp, Vanilla Nougat, White Raspberry, Caramel Deluxe, Hazelnut Swirl, Turkish Delight, Classic Caramel, Peppermint Crème Crunch and Dark Mocha Nougat flavours.

The Cadbury Roses Limited Edition box is available at leading supermarkets and independent retailers.
