Bush’s Proteins has bolstered its team with the appointment of John Edgley as chief development officer and Aaron Yule as head of people, reflecting its focus on building the leadership and expertise needed to support the business as it grows and evolves.

“Rendering plays a vital role within the modern food and agricultural system, connecting meat and poultry production with a diverse range of productive end markets,” said Cameron Bush, CFO/COO of Bush’s Proteins.

“We are continuing to invest in the people, systems and infrastructure needed to support that role and respond to the changing needs of industry.”

Working closely with the Board and leadership team, Edgley will help shape the company’s development and investment.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience across industrial operations, manufacturing, infrastructure, investment and business growth, he will support Bush’s Proteins as it considers opportunities in processing resilience and biosecurity, the circular economy and energy innovation.

Yule will lead Bush’s Proteins’ people function, supporting workforce planning, culture and performance.

He brings extensive executive, human resources and recruitment experience across multiple sectors, with a strong focus on building teams and developing organisational capability.

“John and Aaron bring different but complementary strengths to the business and will help us build the development, operational and people capability needed for the future,” Bush added.

According to Edgley, his focus would be on turning strategy into practical outcomes.

“There is a real opportunity to build on Bush’s Proteins’ vital role in the agricultural value chain,” he said. “With deep industrial expertise and an exceptional team, we are driving regional manufacturing growth.

“A key priority for us is to continue supporting our critical partners every step of the way, and investing in the capability needed to secure a sustainable, high-value future for Australian livestock, agribusiness and low-carbon liquid fuels.”

Yule added that building workforce capability would be central to that ambition, ensuring the organisation has the skills, resilience and operational depth required to deliver sustained performance.
