The family company behind soy milk label, Bonsoy, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity as it approaches 50 years in business.

Spiral Foods was founded in 1979 by James Wilson, who now leads the company alongside his daughter, Raphaelle Wilson. Its portfolio also includes gluten free pasta brand Casalare, condiments and preserves brand Riverina Grove, and Aurelio.

The company built its name introducing Japanese pantry staples such as tamari, miso, and umeboshi to Australia, well before Bonsoy became the default soy on specialty coffee menus and a go-to for plant-based serves on cocktail lists.

Spiral Foods founder, James Wilson, said the company had spent decades letting its products do the talking.

“For many years, our focus has been on building trusted brands and letting the quality of our products speak for themselves. As we approach 50 years, we feel it’s the right time to share more about the business and the values that have guided us from the beginning,” Wilson said.

Raphaelle Wilson said her role was not to reinvent what her father built.

“It’s about helping more people understand who we are, what we stand for and the heritage behind the brands they’ve trusted for years,” she said.
