Gelato chain, Gelatissimo, has created a limited edition flavour, Beer Flavoured Gelato, to go on sale on Australia Day.

The flavour combines a “smooth blend of sorbet and alcohol-free beer” and has a “full bodied, balanced taste which resembles a crisp brew with a touch of sweetness”, according to its creator.

The annual celebration is one of the biggest beer selling weeks of the year and Gelatissimo is toasting tradition with their deliciously refreshing flavour,” the company says.

Beer Flavoured Gelato is available on January 25 and 26 at Gelatissimo stores at Circular Quay, Bondi, Coogee, Cockle Bay, Manly, Noosa, Surfers Paradise, Brisbane, Townsville, Canberra Centre, Manuka, Lygon St, Norwood and Rundle Street.

Gelatissimo, which was founded in 2002, is an Australian-owned global franchisee brand with 39 stores in Australia and 16 internationally.
