Muffin Break has created a muffin which combines maple syrup, cream cheese and chocolate-covered bacon.

In time for International Bacon Day on 5 September and Father's Day on 6 September, the muffin is the result of the company's new Muffin Lab. Its aim is to develop muffins that “dare to be different”, with one new flavour released each month.

The Bacon Maple Muffin will be available from 3 August to 6 September.

Muffin Break is a premium bakery-café franchise owned by Foodco Group Pty Ltd. The concept originated in Canada but was acquired by Foodco in 1989 and refined for contemporary conditions. A supporter of Australian children’s charity Good Beginnings, Muffin Break now comprises more than 280 cafés across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and India.
