Australian Distillers has appointed Kylie Lethbridge as its new general manager. She will start in the role on 27 October. Her most recent role was CEO of the Independent Brewers Association.

Australian Distillers president, Holly Klintworth, said the appointment marked a “pivotal and exciting chapter” for the organisation.

“Kylie’s energy, experience, and deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Australian distillers make her ideally suited to this role. She brings a clear vision and a collaborative leadership style that align perfectly with the association’s goals. We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead for our members and the broader industry under her guidance,” Klintworth said.

Lethbridge has more than 25 years of leadership, advocacy, and strategic development experience, with a proven track record of elevating industry voices and building strong, future-focused organisations.

Throughout her career, Kylie has worked across all levels of government and held executive roles in national industry bodies, driving economic development, policy reform, trade, and investment outcomes for Australian producers.

“I am thrilled to be so warmly welcomed and look forward to dedicating my time and energy to supporting artisan producers, small businesses and the people who work so hard to pursue their passion.

With significant opportunity, an inspired cohort of members and the leadership of the Board, I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things,” Lethbridge said.

Recently appointed Brewers Association of Australia CEO, Amanda Watson, congratulated Lethbridge on her appointment.

Watson said although her direct relationship with Lethbridge and the Independent Brewers of Australia was new, she is delighted that women in the industry are being recognised and rewarded for their excellence and was aware of the strong collaboration between the two brewing organisations in the past.

“I wish Kylie every success in her new role and thank her for her historical partnership with our Association. I look forward to working with her in her new role in the industry and know she'll apply the same dedication and pragmatism to that membership as she did with the indies.

“I also look forward to meeting the new CEO and continuing a positive relationship with them once they are appointed,” Watson said.
