Australian spirit producers, including Cape Byron Distillery, Archie Rose Distillery, Twenty Third Street Distillery and more, have all shone on the international stage at the 2021 SIP Awards.

The SIP Awards is an international spirits competition focused on consumer opinion across multiple segments, including taste, branding and product development.

Australian producers were winners in multiple categories, including Vermouth, Grappa and Gin.

Archie Rose Distillery won double gold in Tasting for its Signature Dry Gin, Distiller’s Strength Gin and Original Vodka, and a gold each for its Archie Rose x Sydney Opera House Inside Gin and Outside Gin, and Single Malt Whisky.

Adelaide’s Twenty Third Street Distillery won gold for its Signature Gin, silver for its Violet Gin and Platinum for its Riverland Rose Gin.

Back up north, Cape Byron Distillery won gold for its Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin and Mac by Brookie’s, while its Brookie’s Byron Slow Gin won Platinum, and Shirl the Pearl won Silver.

“We’re absolutely stoked with the news for all the Brookie’s range to be recognised in this year’s SIP awards, consumers opinion is the one that matters most to us here at the Distillery,” said Cape Byron co-founder and distiller Eddie Brook.

“Our awarded Brookie’s range is inspired by showcasing our region, our unique native rainforest botanicals we have on farm, their incredible flavour profiles and balancing them into our spirits.”

“We’re blessed with an abundance of incredible native Australian produce in the Northern Rivers, and we get excited about showcasing those flavours in spirits that consumers have never tried.”

Australian Distilling Co, Morris Whisky, Old Kempton Distillery, Regal Rogue and more local producers were also awarded for their craft in this year’s competition.
