A Sydney company has helped New Zealand start-up MMC Tradelink roll out a glow-in-the-dark product in the newest addition to its Water Buddies range of infant beverage products.

MMC Tradelink managing director, Sian Leonard, said the glow-in-the-dark labels were developed by an in-house team at her company alongside technologists from Sydney-based Adhesif labels.

MMC Tradelink is using the glowing labels on a sixth variant to its Water Buddies range, Just Like Lemonade.

“This new packaging is incredibly exciting and combines our passion for delivering both innovation and a healthy, low-sugar option to children and parents,” Leonard said.

The bottle also sports a clear porthole window showing the water inside, a feature which will also be incorporated on all other variants in the Water Buddies range.

The original bottles in the range recently won a number of awards in MMC Tradelink's home market, including a flavour packaging design prize at the NZ Food Awards in Auckland and the best innovative water prize at the NZ's Juice and Beverage Awards.
