Third-party businesses can now tap into the logistics muscle of Amazon Australia with the local launch of its Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) service.

The FBA offering will see the e-commerce giant store, pick, pack and ship third party products out of its Victorian warehouse.

The offering means smaller businesses don't need to invest in their own warehousing capability. FBA can also provide customer service for third party products.

Amazon arrived in Australia in December, with the Amazon.com.au website, and now third party merchants, serviced out of a 24,000-square-metre converted warehouse in Dandenong South in Melbourne.
