Jelly brand Aeroplane is flying into new territory for the first time in its 85-year history with the launch of a new dessert mix range called Sweet Treats.

The iconic Aussie brand, which was in 1994 bought by the international spice company, McCormick Foods, is venturing beyond classic jelly crystals and into jelly slices and mousses.

The new Aeroplane Sweet Treats dessert line-up includes Strawberry Jelly Slice, Lime Jelly Slice, Chocolate Mousse and Choc Honeycomb Mousse.

The range requires no baking. The jelly slices involve mixing and setting each layer in the fridge, and the mousses, once mixed, can be eaten straight away for a creamy texture, or popped in the fridge for a firmer set.

Sweet Treats products are available in the dessert aisle at Woolworths now and in Coles and independent supermarkets from August. The Jelly Slices retail for $4.99, and the Mousses for $3.74.
