Woolworths is expanding its own brand Cook range, with six new slow-cooked style meals, starting at $3.25 per serve.

The slow-cooked style meals are part of the wider Cook range, initially introduced in May 2021, which includes pre-prepared proteins and vegetables designed to make cooking easier and more convenient.

There are currently 65 products in the Cook range, which includes 19 slow-cooked style meals. The meals are designed to be cooked on either the stovetop, in the microwave, or oven, with some ready in under 10 minutes.

The most popular products are the Slow Cooked Butterflied Beef and Slow Cooked Chicken Breast In Creamy Mushroom Sauce, part of the extended slow-cooked style selection.

The new products include:

  • Hearty Beef Casserole with Vegetables 800g RRP $13
  • Meatballs in Rich Tomato Sauce 800g RRP $13
  • Italian Style Chicken in Tomato Sauce 700g RRP $13
  • Traditional Roast Beef with Garlic & Herb 650g RRP $15
  • Beef Cheeks in Red Wine Sauce 550g RRP $16
  • Pork Rib Rack with Sweet and Smoky BBQ Glaze 900g RRP $20

All the products are made using locally sourced meat, in line with Woolworths’ commitment to sourcing 100 per cent of its own brand fresh meat from Australian farmers.

Woolworths food developer, Carmen Garcia, said that the company has seen double-digit growth in demand across the COOK range.

“Whether our customers have 10 or 45 minutes, access to an oven, air-fryer, or stove we’ve curated easy and budget-friendly meal solutions to help them get a flavourful dinner on the table.

“During winter we know that customers enjoy hearty meals like roasts, beef briskets, and slow-cooked stews, filling homes with comforting aromas, so we’ve launched these products just in time for the colder months.”

The product packaging has also been updated across the Cook range, to better exhibit the cooking times and methods, serving sizes and serving suggestions.

The new Cook products are available in Woolworths stores nationally, and the full range can be viewed on the company’s website.

Packaging News

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
