Woolworths is bringing more of the global flavours Australians love directly to the dinner table, by expanding its exclusive range of pantry staples.

Shoppers will discover three distinctive brands inspired by Italian, Mexican and Asian flavours in the grocery aisles. With more than 70 new or refreshed products in total, the company stated each has been carefully curated to deliver quality ingredients and great value.

This is the latest move in the supermarket's Own Brand strategy, aiming to get more home cooks, especially young families, excited about dinner by offering a bigger range of ingredients for popular weeknight meals.

The lineup includes:

  • La Gina – drawing inspiration from Italy, this collection features a variety of pasta and ready-to-use pasta sauces. It also includes oils and essential antipasti items like olives and semi-dried tomatoes.
  • La Mesita – designed to bring the vibrancy of Mexican cuisine to the dinner table, this range offers a selection of taco kits, seasonings, soft and hard tortillas, salsas and flavourful simmer sauces.
  • Lantern Alley – offering Asian-inspired essentials, including Hokkien noodles, soy sauce and flavour-enhancing condiments such as fried shallots.

Woolworths Supermarkets director of product and innovation, Jackie Fourie, said Australians have such a diverse appetite, thanks to many multicultural influences.

“Taco Tuesdays, an easy stir fry or a spag bol are as much Aussie dinner staples as ‘meat and veggies’,” said Fourie.

“We are expanding our range of specialist brands to give our shoppers even more choice on the items they purchase most in these categories. From taco kits in the Mexican food range to Italian pasta sauces, we want to make it even more accessible for every home cook to find these essential ingredients in their weekly shop.”

Products from La Gina, La Mesita, and Lantern Alley are now available in Woolworths supermarkets across the country.
