Woolworths is gearing up for Easter with new and returning favourites in its bakery lineup, blending iconic flavours with fun formats.

New products for 2026 include;

  • Betty the Bunny Cake – RRP $30 – A vanilla and chocolate sponge finished with strawberry buttercream, coming with ready-to-assemble ears, nose, and paws for family fun.
  • Carrot Cake Trifle – RRP $22 – Proving trifles aren't just for Christmas, this product features layers of carrot cake, cream cheese mousse, and dulce de leche, topped with choc honeycomb and walnuts.

Returning favourites include;

  • Easter Mini Dessert Selection – RRP $25 – 20 bite-sized treats including Hot Cross Bun-flavoured cheesecakes and fudgy brownies.
  • DIY Easter Cookie Kit – RRP $11 – a 12-pack holiday hack with icing and piping bags.

Woolworths bakery merchandise manager, Donald Keith, said the company has leant into the iconic flavours of the season to deliver fun new treats that are about more than just taste – they’re about creating a moment.

“From the spiced sweetness of our Carrot Cake Trifle to the Betty the Bunny Cake, these are truly shareable treats,” said Keith.

“What we love about Betty is that she’s a bit of a DIY project; with the ears, nose, and paws ready to assemble at home, it’s a way for kids to get involved in the kitchen and put a showstopper on the table they can be proud of.”

The new products are available in Woolworths stores nationwide from 11 March.

Packaging News

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
