Vitasoy has introduced a range of fortified Oat Yogurts made with Australian grown oats at Vitasoy’s facility in Albury-Wodonga, available in three flavours: Blueberry, Vanilla, and Summer Fruits.

The new range has the same classic dairy-based texture, with a thick, smooth and creamy consistency and contains beta glucan, calcium, protein and Vitamins B12 and D with a 4 Health Star Rating.

Vitasoy Australia marketing and strategy general manager Nick Bartram said Vitasoy had long been recognised as a pioneer of plant-based products.

“The business has taken its established credentials in making great tasting, nutritious plant-based milk and responded to demand from customers to introduce an additional plant-based yogurt range to the market that delivers on taste, texture and nutrition.

“Following the consumer response to the launch of our Greek Style Soy Yogurt portfolio last year, we saw an opportunity to diversify the range using an oat milk base. We were determined to deliver our signature smooth and creamy texture, along with a strong nutritional profile by adding protein and calcium, when developing this range,” said Bartram.

Vitasoy Australia dietician Belinda Dib said the new range was designed with the aim to make it easier for people to reach their recommended daily intakes.

“Oats are nutritional powerhouses hosting numerous functional benefits that have been well documented. By combining the soluble fibre present in oats, known as Prebiotics, with live cultures found in fermented products known as Probiotics, we have curated the ultimate duo to support gut health.

“Vitasoy's Oat Yogurt is also nutritionally fortified with high quality plant-based calcium, vitamin B12, vitamin D and protein. We have created a nutritionally balanced option that rivals its dairy counterparts,” said Dib.

Vitasoy Oat Yogurts are available at Coles nationally for RRP $3.00.
