Coinciding with new Uncle Tobys research finding 63 per cent of parents don’t understand the language their children use, it has launched edible tongue prints inspired by Australia’s top trending kid phrases.

The report found parents are struggling to keep up with their kids’ ever-changing language, with more than half (63%) saying they don’t understand the lingo their children use, while 40 per cent say they’ve had to ask their child to explain modern slang.

Inspired by the language shaping childhood in 2026, the new Roll Ups feature the top words – such as 6-7, no cap, delulu and aura – as easy to transfer, edible tongue prints designed for a playful connection within Aussie families.

“Every generation has its own language, and right now kids are having fun with phrases like ‘6-7’ and ‘no cap’. With the new Roll Up tongue prints, we’re giving families a fun way to get in on the conversation,” said Jessica Barnes, marketing manager at Uncle Tobys.

“Roll Ups have always been about imagination, and this launch brings that spirit into today’s culture – with a nostalgic snack Aussie parents grew up with, reimagined for the next generation.”

To keep the fun going, Uncle Tobys is inviting Roll Ups fans to vote on the next tongue print design. Fans can visit the Uncle Tobys Instagram and share suggestions in the comments.

Available in Strawberry and Apple flavour Tongue Print varieties, Uncle Tobys Roll Ups are made with real fruit, now available nationally from leading supermarkets (RRP $5.50).
