A new brand of spiced rum has been released by Asahi Premium Beverages.

Untold is a blend of two to three-year aged golden Caribbean rum (from Trinidad) using natural spices.

The full-bodied, full-strength product has been made by bartender Dave Kerr (The Beaufort) and his fellow Australian bartender friends Nathan Beasley (Black Pearl), Oscar Eastman (ex-Eau de Vie) and Dre Walters (The Lobo Plantation).

Although the product is primarily ‘made to mix’, it has a bold yet accessible flavour, according to Asahi.

It balances spice, sweetness, and is finished with a savoury note. Its label features urban imagery created by Australian artists Andrew Archer and Tim Phibs.

Untold is available in a FSBS and in two RTD flavours including Spiced Rum with Cola and Spiced Rum with Ginger Beer, with plans to collaborate with more artists and bartenders on new flavours and looks in the future.

It is available at Coles Group (Liquorland, First Choice, Vintage Cellars) for RRP $50.
