Suntory Global Spirits has expanded its -196 ready-to-drink range in Australia, launching the new Lemon Passionfruit flavour.

Building on the successful legacy of -196 in Japan, this is the first combination flavour available for the Australian market. Lemon Passionfruit joins a -196 lineup including Double Lemon, Double Peach, and Double Grape.

Crafted using Suntory’s proprietary Freeze Crush Infusion (FCI) process, -196 Lemon Passionfruit delivers a bold, whole-fruit flavour. A technique rooted in Japanese craftsmanship, FCI flash-freezes the whole fruit in liquid nitrogen at exactly -196°C, crushes it and then infuses it with premium vodka and shochu to capture a unique taste experience.

Suntory Global Spirits senior marketing director, Johnny Morgan, said the -196 brand helps the company meet consumers’ ongoing demand for high-quality, full-flavour experiences as the RTD category continues to evolve in Australia.

“-196 is a distinct product because of the Japanese ingenuity behind it, and we’re excited to launch our first combination flavour. With the addition of Lemon Passionfruit, we’re redefining what real fruit-forward refreshments should taste like,” said Morgan.

The new -196 Lemon Passionfruit is now available at major retailers for RRP $23.99 in a four-pack and $48.99 in a 10-pack format.
