Melbourne-based beverage start-up, BetterDays, says its range of sparkling cactus water beverages are the first in Australia and are rich in antioxidants.

The brand is founded by husband-and-wife team Jac and James Hill, and the products hero the fruit of the prickly pear cactus. Prickly pears are a superfruit hailing from the deserts of Mexico. They’re rich in antioxidants, electrolytes and vitamins and have been used in natural medicines for hundreds of years.

The beverages are available in three flavours: cucumber mint and collagen, hibiscus watermelon and nootropics, and prickly pear and electrolytes. The latter two are 100 per cent vegan.

The company says that 91 per cent of ingredients used as sourced locally, with only the prickly pears coming from Nevada city, Texas.
