Saputo Dairy Australia (SDA) has introduced new long-life milk products, offering consumers a higher protein dairy option that contains 50 per cent more protein than its standard full cream long-life milk.
The range includes Devondale High Protein Full Cream Milk, available in 1L and 200mL formats; and Liddells Lactose Free High Protein Full Cream Milk, available in a 1L format.
Offering 15g of protein per 300mL serve, the new products are made using ultrafiltration technology to concentrate the naturally occurring protein already present in dairy milk. This increases the milk's protein content to the equivalent of 5g per 100mL compared with approximately 3.2 to 3.3g per 100mL in SDA's regular long-life milk products.
Zoey Saunders, general manager of marketing and food service at SDA, said as more consumers prioritise health and nutrition, higher protein options continue to be actively sought in shoppers’ everyday purchasing choices.
“We're seeing sustained consumer demand for convenient, high-protein food and drink options, and our new range provides a simple way to meet that demand,” said Saunders.
“Devondale and Liddells high-protein long-life milk give shoppers more choice in a format that fits easily into everyday routines.
“Importantly, we've achieved this by concentrating the naturally occurring protein already present in dairy milk through ultrafiltration. This process increases the protein content while maintaining the taste, quality and versatility Australians expect from our trusted brands.”
The products are available through Woolworths stores nationally, with additional distribution through Coles and the Independent grocery channel planned for the coming months.
