Pitango Kitchen has launched an Italian-style risotto with flavours of tomato, feta, and basil.

The product is made of Italian arborio rice, a tomato and white wine sauce, and freshly chopped basil and feta cheese, according to the company.

The new addition joins a range which includes Pumpkin, Leek & Spinach Risotto and Free Range Chicken and Garlic Risotto.

Marketing manager Sharon Addington said Pitango wanted to create new flavours inspired by popular regions across the world.

“The new variety is inspired by the north of Italy – an area known for its fresh, home cooked flavours.”

“It’s the perfect light meal for two on warm summer nights.”

The recommended retail price is $8.50 for a 500g serve.
