Meat food technology company, Pryme Snacks Australia, is accelerating its national retail expansion, launching its Wagyu Jerky product range in Ampol stores across the country.

The company stated this marks a significant milestone for Australia’s homegrown meat snack sector, which is currently dominated by foreign-owned brands. Pryme aims to shift the dynamic by championing Australian beef, Australian jobs, and value-added manufacturing.

The Ampol rollout represents another step in Pryme's strategy to expand across major retail, independent and convenience channels nationwide, then globally.

The expansion follows Pryme’s growing retail presence across Australia, including in Coles Local, and its launch in Metcash in November 2025. The company now has products available in over 2300 locations around the country.

Pryme Wagyu Jerky is made in Australia and is designed to offer consumers a more premium alternative within the meat snack category. The range is available online at prymesnacks.com.au in Original, Honey Soy, Mango Chilli, Sriracha and Zesty Lime.
