South Australian iced coffee brand, Farmers Union Iced Coffee (FUIC), has jumped on the protein loading trend, launching its own Protein Iced Coffee.

According to recent data, protein is an $8 billion category in Australia and is increasingly expanding into mainstream markets. Consumers are showing a growing demand for protein-rich options, with one-third of those who choose beverages looking for high-protein products to help keep them fuller for longer.

Packed with 36g of protein per serving and with no sugar added, FUIC Protein aims to offer the perfect caffeine kick for its more health-conscious consumers.

Farmers Union Iced Coffee brand manager, Zabean Bhanji, said the launch was driven by consumers demand for high protein products.

“As functional health and lifestyle trends continue to gain momentum, we see consumers looking to get more benefits out of their iced coffee pick me up and FUIC Protein does just that by supporting a protein charged diet,” said Bhanji.

“Made with fresh milk and real coffee, our FUIC Protein is a welcomed addition to our iced coffee family and we look forward to seeing South Australians powering up with a delicious FUIC Protein carton in their hands.”

Farmers Union Iced Coffee Protein 600ml carton will be available in South Australia and Northern Territory stores from 4 November.
