San Remo has developed a new Performance Pasta range, which is low-carb, vegan-friendly and high in protein.

San Remo Pasta Pro has the same protein as six eggs or 125g of cooked chicken breast per serve and 25 per cent less carbs than regular pasta, making it the “perfect workout buddy for Aussies”.

Meanwhile, San Remo Fibre Fest, is one of Australia’s first pastas including prebiotic fibre, and has been made with a combination of red beans, corn, chicory fibre and pea protein to make it naturally lower in carbohydrates, vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

“Our new Performance Pasta range is perfectly timed to hit shelves, as we’ve seen a significant growth in healthier pasta alternatives,” said San Remo chief marketing officer Erik de Roos.

“We’ve created the new range to meet the various dietary and lifestyle needs of our customers, while still making sure they enjoy that quality and taste San Remo is known and loved for.”

San Remo’s Performance Pasta range will be available for an RRP of $4.20 (250 grams) in Coles stores nationwide and online.

San Remo ranked in at #62 in Australia’s Top 100 Food & Drink Companies 2020 report.
