Pampelle Ruby Red Grapefruit Apéritif has moved its Australian distribution from Amber Beverage Australia to ICONIC Beverages under a new long-term distribution and brand-building agreement.

Effective immediately, the partnership will see ICONIC Beverages oversee Pampelle’s national growth across the on- and off-premise. The brand will be available through the distributor’s wholesale network from the beginning of September.

Pampelle has been distributed by Amber Beverage Australia since its local launch, establishing its strongest markets in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Pampelle founder, Patrick Borg, said ICONIC would provide the infrastructure and trade relationships required to accelerate the brand’s growth.

“The brand has extraordinary provenance, a world’s first credential, a distinctive flavour profile and genuine whitespace in market.

“What it has needed is the right distribution partner to truly unlock it. Dean and the ICONIC Beverages team bring exactly that – deep trade relationships, genuine passion for building brands, and the commercial infrastructure to take Pampelle to where I know it can go.

“My ambition has always been to build Pampelle into a 10,000+ case brand in Australia. We now have the partnership to do it,” Borg said.

ICONIC Beverages MD, Dean Teranova, said the company saw opportunities for the brand across both retail and hospitality channels.

“Pampelle is exactly the kind of differentiated, premium brand ICONIC Beverages was built to champion, with a compelling story, genuine French heritage and a product that gives consumers and bartenders something new,” Teranova said.

“Our focus is to get Pampelle into more of the right venues, more consumers’ hands, and give the brand the platform it deserves.”

The distribution change coincides with plans to expand Pampelle beyond its established spritz and cocktail formats. A 0.0 per cent ABV Pampelle Non-Alcoholic Apéritif is in development, with further products and formats also being explored.

The brand will focus on the Pampelle Spritz and Pampelle Paloma as its two signature serves.

Australian-owned and produced in France, Pampelle is made with organic ruby red grapefruit sourced from Corsica and distilled at Louis Royer in Cognac. It is bottled at 15 per cent ABV and has an RRP of $55 for 700 millilitres.
