Healthy snacking brand, Noshu, has hopped on the high protein snacking trend with the release of its new Fruit & Cream Protein Bars in three flavours – Raspberry & Cream, Mango & Cream and Peaches & Cream.

Noshu launched ten years ago with its low sugar and low carb donut range, and now has over 40 products in six grocery categories nationwide. Its most recent new product releases include the Chewy Cookie Snacks and Low Carb Indulgence Bars.

Now a mainstay in over 2000 Coles and Woolworths stores, and forecasting a $40 million revenue this financial year, the company states that its success is driven by ten years of research and development in sugar replacement.

The new Fruit & Cream bars are gluten-free, contain only natural colours and flavours, and include premium whey protein. Each 100 calorie fruit bar contains what the company describes as “20 per cent invisible protein”, thanks to an exclusive collaboration with Bodiez’ Protein Water. The “world's first” clear protein water product was introduced in 2014 and contains 100 per cent Whey Protein Isolate.

Noshu founder and CEO Rachel Bajada said she felt driven to innovate in the protein bar segment because the flavour and texture of existing protein bars was dry, hard to eat and bulked out with poor quality, difficult to digest ingredients.

“The first thing you notice when you bite into the Noshu Fruit & Cream bars is that they pack a delicious fruity flavour punch with a smooth and juicy texture,” said Bajada.

“We wanted our consumers to be able to feel like they were indulging in a fruit bar, but actually getting the benefit of 20% premium whey protein with very little sugar, carbs and calories.

“We’re extremely proud to be elevating this category with more delicious and nutritious options that really push the boundaries of innovation and break the status quo,” she said.

Noshu’s Fruit & Cream Protein Bars are available from Woolworths stores nationwide for RRP $8.90 for 5 bars.
