Norco has launched two ice cream ranges ahead of summer, including the return of premium 90s brand Norco Cape Byron, reimagined for today in partnership with cookbook author Magdalena Roze.

Drawing inspiration from its namesake, Norco Cape Byron is made wiith fresh milk and cream from Norco’s farms in the Northern Rivers and is available in three flavours – Ultimate Vanilla, Classic Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Lava Brownie.

Roze worked closely with Norco to curate the Norco Cape Byron line up of flavours and said the range is inspired by the impressive Northern Rivers food bowl.

“Living in the Northern Rivers, partnering with Norco just made sense as we both hold a deep connection with our local communities, and are always looking for ways to give back to the region. That’s what farmer owned, Australian owned and Australian made is all about.

“We are surrounded by dairy farms here, so Norco is a big part of the Northern Rivers fabric. It’s a heritage brand that we know and love, so I’m excited and honoured to be a part of this next chapter,” Roze said

Also being launched into supermarket freezers along with Norco Cape Byron, is Norco’s 100% Australian Farmer Owned range, a celebration of Norco’s milestone of over 70 years of making ice cream in the heart of Lismore.

The range delivers simple pleasures in the form of good, old-fashioned flavours including Classic Vanilla, Caramel Choc Honeycomb, and Chocolate Choc Cookie.

Ben Menzies, Norco GM of commercial and strategy explained the connection between dairy quality and ice cream craftsmanship to deliver a delicious experience for every family dessert moment.

“Norco first started delighting Aussie families with delicious ice cream in the 1950s and while a lot has changed since then, our commitment to making the best tasting dairy continues to drive us today.

“With over 128 years of expertise in dairy, we understand the simple pleasures derived from sharing good quality ice cream with family and friends, and pride ourselves on our ability to deliver products that put a smile on the faces of all those who enjoy dairy,” said Menzies.

The Norco Cape Byron and 100% Australian Farmer Owned ranges will be manufactured at the reopened Norco ice cream factory in Lismore, and are available in 1L tubs at Coles supermarkets in Queensland and New South Wales for RRP $13.00, and in 2L Farmers Owned flavours at Woolworths nationwide for RRP $6.80.

Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
